Why Choose Dental Implants?

Dental implants in Vancouver BC, have revolutionized the way we approach tooth replacement. They offer a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution for missing teeth, and here’s why they stand out:

  • Natural Look and Feel: Implants are designed to mimic the appearance and function of your natural teeth, giving you a smile that looks and feels real.
  • Improved Comfort: Unlike traditional dentures, dental implants are securely anchored in the jawbone, eliminating the discomfort and instability often associated with removable options.
  • Enhanced Functionality: Enjoy all your favorite foods again with implants that provide strong, reliable chewing power.

What Is the Dental Implant Procedure?

The Dental implant procedure involves several steps to ensure a successful and lasting result. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Initial Consultation: Our team will perform a comprehensive examination, including digital x-rays and a 3D scan, to assess your oral health and determine the best treatment plan.
  2. Implant Placement: During a minor surgical procedure, we place the titanium implant post into the jawbone. This post acts as the root of your new tooth.
  3. Healing Period: The implant integrates with your jawbone over several months in a process called osseointegration, ensuring a stable foundation.
  4. Restoration: Once the implant has fully integrated, we attach a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture to complete your new smile.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

Most people can be considered for dental implants if they have:

  • Good Oral Health: Healthy gums and sufficient bone density.
  • Stable Medical Condition: General health is stable enough to undergo minor surgery.
  • Commitment to Oral Hygiene: A dedication to maintaining oral hygiene is crucial for the long-term success of implants.

Is the Dental Implant Procedure Painful?

Modern techniques and anesthesia make the dental implant procedure comfortable for most patients. Post-procedure discomfort is typically manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.

Dental Implant FAQs

Can a solitary tooth be implanted?

Certainly! Implanting a single tooth is completely feasible. Dental implants provide an excellent option for replacing a missing tooth with a long-lasting and natural-looking alternative.

Single dental implants are utilized when one tooth needs replacement, multiple implants are employed to restore several missing teeth, and all-on dental implants provide a comprehensive set of teeth for individuals with significant tooth loss. Your choice among these options depends on your specific needs.

With our techniques, we enable minimally invasive procedures, allowing patients the option of leaving with teeth at the same time the implant is placed.

Dental implants provide versatility and are suitable for a broad spectrum of individuals. Whether you have excellent oral health or encounter unique circumstances, our team at Restoration Smiles Implant Center is here to discuss your options through a customized consultation designed for your specific requirements. Contact us today to explore how dental implants can benefit you.

Most patients typically report minimal discomfort during the dental implant procedure. Local anesthesia is administered to ensure comfort, and any post-surgery discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.

Maintaining dental implants involves similar practices to caring for natural teeth. It’s essential to maintain a routine of consistent brushing, flossing, and attending regular dental check-ups to ensure their health and longevity.

Dental implants offer improved stability, comfort, and aesthetics compared to dentures or bridges. They closely resemble natural teeth, eliminating the necessity for removal or special adhesives.

At Bentall Dental Centre, our primary focus is on providing exceptional dental implant care. With our skilled team, cutting-edge technology, and unwavering commitment to patient satisfaction, we stand out as a dependable choice for meeting your dental implant needs.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my cat  ’Thunder‘ who moved to Canada with me from Korea. I also enjoy weightlifting during the week, running on weekends, and spending time outdoors tanning during the summer.
